Milorganite like all fertilizers, should be used as directed and stored in a cool, dry area out of the reach of children and animals.

Disposal

Please keep Milorganite from getting into any bodies of water by following fertilizing application rates and not fertilizing before a heavy rainfall. Sweep spilled or leftover material back into the lawn or into a labeled container.

Expiration

Milorganite has no expiration date.  It will work indefinitely if stored properly in a cool and dry area.

Storage

Milorganite should be stored in a cool, dry area out of the reach of children and animals.

Some dogs may be attracted to the smell of Milorganite and try to eat it.  Store Milorganite in a sturdy container or in an unreachable location.  If your dog eats Milorganite, there are no long-term toxic effects.  Short-term indigestion can occur for up to 24-48 hours.
